Cheesecake for Halloween

Happy Halloween with a cheesecake! And why not? After so many candies and chocolate treats, let's try something else, something less sweet and light. This is a No-Bake Cheesecake. It's a very easy recipe. You don't need a lot of time to prepare it but you still need some time to chill it before you try it....

The recipe you can find here.
Now you can notice the difference in the color - it's one and the same cheesecake, just the first pictures were taken at night and the last one-on the next day :)

And some more Halloween cupcakes

My Halloween cupcakes from last night. I hope these are the last ones. Honestly, I am not a fan of this holiday. It's too much - eyes, blood, R.I.P. signs everywhere, coffins, skeletons, fingers, nails...awful! That's why I am not making any Halloween cakes (unless somebody ask me). For my kids I usually prepare just simple muffins and cupcakes without a lot of decorations. Usually I use candies, chewing gums or some paper decorations that I have bought in advance...

Everything started from here...

Honestly I don't know how this white powder like flour appeared on the top of the muffins. Actually, it's not so visible like here on the photos...

Traditional muffins made only with egg whites and colored with orange gel food dye. I added some tiny chocolate sponge pieces in the mixture.
Then I decorated them with orange colored vanilla frosting....

I used my "corn" candies, the "skulls" and my kids favorite chewing gums "the eyes".

Now came the famous Halloween characters....

...and....these tiny muffins started to disappear like this :)

Happy Halloween!

Walnut brownie cake

This is a typical brownie dessert. Of course, there are some differences...
First one,  I baked the brownie in a round cake pan instead of the traditional rectangular one. That's why I called it a "cake".
Then, I added in the mixture some chopped walnuts. That's why the name is "Walnut brownie cake".

Next difference is that I poured chocolate ganache over the brownie. Some pecans (American walnut) were spread over the cake and 3-4 pieces of frosted tangerine in the middle.

Then it was time for some photos and immediately we grabbed the plates and forks...:)

Yogurt desserts...and something else

These cup desserts I made for my family. Basically this is simple, homemade yogurt. I added a sponge vanilla pieces. I used fresh fruit - mainly strawberries and some blackberries. Instead of sugar I used agave syrup. The original recipe is 500g. yogurt and 50g. sugar. If you want to make this dessert as a cake is better to use gelatin or agar-agar to keep it stable and fixed. On the top I spread some cocoa nut flakes and some mint leaves...

And now something different. A box of candies....But absolutely raw candies, without any chocolate and butter.

This box I gave as a small present to a friend of mine. She prefers the healthy lifestyle and that's why the candies are made out of dried dates, ground almonds and lemon juice. Some of them I covered with carob, some of them I left without any decorations.

I hope I gave you an interesting idea to surprise a close friend :)

More raw desserts

This week I presented a similar raw cake. The interest was very high, a lot of people asked me for the recipe and today I'll show you my last raw desserts. Both of them are made following the same recipe that I had mentioned in my previous post with the Purple Raw Cake....

There is a little bit of difference, different touches...Here I spread some cocoa nut flakes.

This cake was ordered by a friend for her mom's birthday.

Now, the second raw cake is made out of mango instead of blueberries. The other difference is that I made the cream part not only using ground raw cashews but also ground raw and peeled almonds. This one I tried and the taste was delicious!

Spider-Man cake

Happy birthday, dear child! Enjoy your party, be very happy and healthy!

As you can see this year Teodor's cake wish is Spider-Man. Together with his mom, we decided to put a Spider-Man toy on the top of the cake as a small present for the boy. The other decorations are made out of fondant.

The cake is made out of blue layers and red velvet. I used 2 different fillings. The first one is chocolate with mascarpone cream  and the second one is made out of wild berries and mascarpone.

Just days before Halloween

Usually I'm not making cakes for Halloween because I find all details very scary. The costumes, the house decorations even the cake decorations are too much very often. And because I have small kids I know how scary can be even one black cat sometimes. But besides all these skeletons, knives, blood there are some cute ghosts and orange pumpkins....

This year I have bought a lot of "eyes" chewing gums and I used them very often when I made muffins for my kids or for friends as decorations. The kids find them "cool".

These muffins I prepared for friends. They are chocolate with orange colored vanilla frosting. Before I put the candy decorations on the top (the pumpkins, the corn seeds and the "eye" chewing gum) I had taken some pictures. Here are they...

And at the end of my post I'll show you my "angry" pumpkin cookie :)

Happy Halloween!
