Spring muffins

These oatmeal muffins I named "spring". These cute paper decorations actually gave me the idea to call them in that way. Flowers and birds - perfect combination to create an imagination that it's spring. By the way, although the high temperatures these days, it's a spring time. My favorite season, the season that gives you strength and energy to dream , to be more positive and bring you smiles on your face more often....

Only the paper decorations were "guilty" for this name :) On the other side, I made these muffins with a mix of dried fruit - something traditional for Christmas time. Any way, they were delicious for me and for everyone who adores the abundance of fruit inside the small desserts.

Stephanie's 1 birthday - second part

Today I 'll dedicate again my post to Stephanie - the 1 year old girl that I mentioned last week. Her mom asked me to make two different cakes. The first one you can see it again here. This one is the second one. The theme is the same - nautical cake, the colors are the same but the design is different.

Stephanie's mom is a very nice lady. Although I know her only from the cake orders it was a pleasure to communicate with her. That's why I decided to make a very small surprise for her -some thematic cookies decorated with fondant.

I wish the whole family a lot of happiness, love and good luck in everything! Happy birthday, dear Stephanie!

Cranberry muffins

These are my oatmeal muffins from last week. I added fresh cranberries in the mix. I adore when there is some fruit inside the muffins. It makes them light, fresh and more delicious. Especially the cranberries with their sour taste gives you the sweet summer treat feeling.

Enjoy them and good appetite!

Tiramisu

This Tiramisu is my sweet treat for my family. Me and my husband, we adore tiramisu. I haven't made it for a long time. Spontaneously, while I was wondering what kind of dessert I can prepare for ourselves, the tiramisu idea came into my mind :)

I made it using a ring, then I used a ribbon and I spread some fresh blueberries on the top. These days I couldn't find any good raspberries but I insisted to put some fruit and that's why I decided to decorate it with delicious blueberries.

The occasion for this Italian dessert was our 10th anniversary living abroad. We are still counting the years spend out of our country...We miss our friends and relatives, we keep the sweet memories in ourselves, we are still thrilled to breathe the air when we are landing....Now I'll show you the cake that I made some years ago...

50th anniversary cake

This cake is for a very special anniversary - 50th! The cake was ordered by a friend of mine who wanted to surprise George. George is the person for whom I made the cake, the person who was supposed to be surprised by his kids and relatives for his birthday party.

The cake is made out of vanilla layers gently attached by a light cream of mascarpone and fresh strawberries. The cake is wrapped by vanilla frosting and on the top I spread dark chocolate ganache. I used chocolate frosting and raw almonds for the decoration. Only the sign is made out of fondant.

Happy birthday, Georgi! Be very healthy and happy!

Two birthdays in one cake

This cake was ordered by a very charming lady for her birthday and for her son's birthday. Both of them were born in May and usually they celebrate together.

The lady told me what she likes and what is her son's hobby is - music, guitars...
That's why the lady suggested me to make half of the cake for her son and the other half something for her.

Now I'll show you the cake in all different angles....

The cake is vanilla with light fruit filling. All the decorations are made out of fondant.

Happy birthday to both of them! I wish them plenty of happiness and good luck in everything!

LEGO cake

Happy birthday, dear Ioan!!!! All the best to you! Be very happy and healthy!

This year Ioan's cake wish was again based on Lego theme.Last year I made this cake for him. This year his mom decided to keep the same idea and to change the color. I decided to add something different and to to make a happy Lego face :). Of course, most of you probably have seen similar cake like this in the net. The idea isn't mine....unfortunately. Anyway, I hope I brought some happiness and smiles on Ioan's face and his friends.

The first cake layer is raw. It's made out of fine ground nuts (pecans, hazelnuts, almonds), dried fruit (dates, raisins), coconut oil, vanilla extracts, some organic cookies. The next layers are vanilla and the cream between them is made out of strawberries, sour cream and white frosting. I used Lego candies for the bricks and some of them I made out of fondant.

Stephanie's 1st birthday

Today I'll share with you Stephanies' 1st birthday cake. Happy birthday, dear child!!!! I wish you smiles and happiness and all the best!!!!

Being honest with you,I was waiting for this cake a long time. The mom called me probably a month ago and she asked me for the cake. I like the idea from the very beginning and I was so thrilled to prepare a nautical cake like this. I was just waiting for the day and it looked so long....But finally the big day came and I started all the decorations.

The mom sent me all the details. I didn't create anything from my side - just the cake :)
And the cake is red velvet - one of my favorite. The filling is the traditional white frosting. The decorations are made out of fondant and everything is edible on the cake besides the water going out of the whale :)

I wish Stephanie all the best in life!!! To her and to her lovely parents! Happy birthday!
