BMW cake

 

 

This cake is a special gift-surprise to Stanislav from his beautiful wife Eli. I have been communicating with Eli several times but finally, this time I had the chance to meet her :) Amazing lady - very attractive and very nice person. It's easy to communicate with her and we spoke like we have known for years...
 

Eli wanted to surprise her husband for his birthday and all our discussions concerning the cake were a deep secret :)

Johnny Test cake

Being honest with you when my friend asked me for a cake for her son's birthday and told me about Johnny Test I hadn't any idea who is that character. When my friend, Nadia, sent me a picture I looked at the guy and he looked a little bit familiar....When I mentioned my kids about Johnny Test they knew him very well. Even they looked at me in the way "you DON'T know who is Johnny Test?!?!?". Shame or not, I knew only Johnny Depp...:) and that's was enough for me....

The story around that cake didn't finish with my unawareness. Nadia sent me a picture that I was supposed to print on an edible sheet and to place it on the cake. Sounds easy...but...when the moment for placing the photo on the top of the cake came something happened. I still can't find the answer but I couldn't unglue the picture. It started breaking everywhere!!! What a disaster! I couldn't believe that this was happening right now to me...I wanted to cry but this wouldn't solve the problem. That's why I left the tears for another moment and I started thinking what I could do. The lady that made me the photo was leaving on a vacation. Bad luck! There was another option - another patisserie that could help me. Unfortunately, in the morning they totally shattered my faith that there would be a "happy end". Without making any effort to take my money they explained me they do not print any photos on Saturday!!?!?!OK, now it was the time to cry....But I hadn't any time to cry right now. I should find some solution to the problem. And I decided to make my own picture. Unfortunately, I don't have any talent as painter but I couldn't find any other option. That's why I made a copy of our character Johnny Test on a piece of fondant and after that I colored him. Look at the final result.

Anyway, let's make the long story short. I am glad that my friend's son-Maxim-liked the cake. He celebrated his 6th birthday and he was very happy to see his favorite character. I can't explain you how happy I was seeing Maxim's happy eyes. Now I know it was worthy to make the effort to draw....

The cake was made with red and green layers (Maxim's favorite colors) attached with chocolate cream. Around the cake I put chocolate fondant and the picture was made also on a fondant circle. I used some green sugar gems that kids found very attractive and tasty :)

 

I made some green and red bits with the left-overs.

 

Usually I use them with the buttercream that I cover the cake before I place the fondant but in this case I decided to use them in that way. I added a little bit of butter cream, made the small balls and covered them with cocoanut flakes.

 

 

 

Happy birthday, Kristine or another "Frozen" cake :)

 

 

Today's cake is for the 6th birthday of a girl called Kristine. I made a cake for the second time for this girl but unfortunately I haven't still met her....One day, I hope I'll have this chance :)

My daughter will have a birthday next week and she will celebrate her 6th birthday too. Her cake wish this year is "Frozen" - a Disney movie very popular this year among the kids and their parents and also with the song :) That's why when Kristine's mother ordered the cake two weeks ago and told me what her daughter likes I almost started laughing - "Frozen" again. Probably at that age girls adore this movie and mainly the two sisters.
That's why now I'll share with you more photos :)

Dora cake

Last week I made a cake for Alex, the daughter of one of my friends. Unfortunately, we don't meet very often because of lack of time...Definitely, I need more than 24hours and more than 2 hands :) Probably most of you have the same problem...

But let's stop discussing such everlasting theme and concentrate on the cake.

Alex likes the movie Dora very much. That's why that was her mother's first suggestion for the birthday cake. We decided that Alex will be happy if she will get some toys at the end of the party. That's why I found the 3 cute plastic toys from the movie - Dora, the monkey and the dog. All other decorations are made out of fondant.

Happy birthday, Damian!

 

This cake was ordered by Trayana for the 1-st birthday of her charming son Damian. The lady was impressed by a cake made by Bubolinkata for the first birthday of her 4th son Damian. What a strange coincidence - the two boys are with the same name and  at the same age :). Here you can see Bubolinkata's masterpiece. I had the honor to be at the birthday of her cute son. It was an amazing summer party with a lot of fun and plenty of activities for the kids. All the information you can get from her post....Have fun :)

Let's continue with our cake... Before I accepted the cake order I asked my friend if I can use her cake idea. Trayana was very happy when I mentioned her that she could have the same cake with a boat and a cute bear :) The mother asked me to make some changes, to add some other details and in that way her son's cake was again unique!

Now came the big challenge - to make a cake that have to be almost the same like a cake made by Bubolinkata....Definetely for me it's more difficult when I have to make something close enough to the original than to create my own design....But the lovely lady,Trayana, gave me such a strength and faith. The way she spoke with me on the phone was enough to charge me with passion like making a cake for my kids. The thrill was incredible. I impatiently waited for the day when I started the cake. Now you can see what I have created....I hope you like it.

 

 

 

To my love

 

That cake I made for my husband. Today he celebrates his birthday and I wanted to surprise him with a cake,of course. But I have decided to make a very simple cake. No fondant, no decorations....just ordinary but very delicious cake. That idea I kept almost till the moment I grabbed the flour and the eggs. I won't forgive myself if I won't make him a cake that I had planned since last year. A cake that represents his hobby and passion - the cars and mainly WV. This is not a surprise for the people that know him and all his friends...That's why immediately I started making a cake with the WV symbol.
 

 

It's again fondant cake made out of very thin chocolate layers. There are tiny éclairs with vanilla cream and strawberry cream between them - a combination of all his favorite tastes and flavors.

The top edge of the cake I tried to make it look like a car tire. I used a cake crimper.

Probably you are wondering why I put the dark blue heart on the front. There isn't any connection with the theme WV but it expresses my endless love towards my husband.

Colorful bits

 

Hello dear friends! CakeSophia is back :) The vacation is over and I am ready to create new chef d'oeuvres...Full of energy and ideas I open the new cake season with these colorful bits that I created last night. They are made in the same way like cake pops but without the sticks. I covered them with different color Candy Melts and I spread on the top some colored sugar. I picked up these vibrant colors to express my happy spirit thanks to the incredible vacation that I have had.
