Homemade sweet treats for my kids

Last week I was extremely busy making boutique birthday cakes. I was very exhausted at the end but I was proud of myself that I was capable to manage everything and finally to bring people's smiles. Besides all the stress my daughter Sophia asked me to make chocolate muffins for her. I couldn't find even a minute to think about this and immediately I told her "O'K, on Sunday morning I'll make them". I promised her and immediately I forgot about my promise. Of course, Sophia didn't forget. On Sunday morning diplomatically she asked me if I finished with all cakes. When I told her happily "Oh,ye...", she remind me that now I have only her muffins to make and then I can take my break.

And immediately I started with the chocolate muffins. Here you can see the final result.

I wanted to keep them simple, without any fondant or buttercream decorations. I used just the paper sticks. But they are colorful enough to bring the happy mood, aren't they.

Now it's time for the other sweet treat that I prepared for my kids. The cookies!

I colored one part of the cookies' batter in green and the other part in red. I used the food colors by Wilton that I use for my fondant.

Jungle cake

This cake was for Arthur's 7th birthday. Happy birthday, dear Arthur! Be happy and healthy child!
Arthur's mom asked me to make a cake for the birthday party of her son. She mentioned me that Arthur right now is interested in jungle animals. Immediately, in my mind some elephants, lions, tigers came :)

And look at what I created for this charming boy....

I took so many photos with the tiger because I wanted to direct your attention to one of the palm trees, close to the tiger. I put a parrot on the tree. I wanted to create a scene, some action in the jungle :)
The cake is made out of vanilla layers and a chocolate layer gently attached by my favorite cream made out of mascarpone and wild berries and fluffy homemade vanilla cream.

Farm animals cake

Happy birthday, dear Nicole! Last week was Nicole's birthday.Unfortunately, I couldn't find enough time to post the cake exactly on the Day. I apologize for this...but today,in this sunny and warm day, I'll share with you Nicole's cake.

The young lady's wish was a bunny and....some more animals. That's why I made fondant applications of some farm animals.

The cake is very chocolate - chocolate layers with chocolate cream.
Dear Nicole, I wish you to keep always your charming smile on your pretty face! Happy birthday!

Minion cake

Finally my turn to make the Minion cake came. I was very happy and pleasantly thrilled that I would have the chance to make these yellow creatures. Everyday different cake designers published The Minions cakes on the net and I was a little bit jealous why I hadn't received a cake order based on that theme....Finally,one day, a lady, a mother of twins asked me not for one, for two Minion cakes!!! I was very impatient to start them.

The two cakes are different inside. The cake for Niki is chocolate with chocolate cream and the cake for Stephan is vanilla with caramel filling. It was such a fun to make them. Cakes made with a lot of emotions - stress, panic, satisfaction...These days the weather was very humid and it was again very difficult to work with the fondant. You can't imagine how many times I opened and closed the fridge! And the board with the two cute Minions is heavy....

Never mind! I hope that the two boys liked their cakes-surprises. I wish them to be very happy and healthy young men!

The cars cake

This cake is for Boyan's second birthday. Happy birthday, dear child! Be very happy and healthy!

As you can guess Boyan's interests right now are "the cars". Most of the kids at that age adore this movie and its characters. That's why I wasn't surprised when Boyan's mom asked me for a cake based on this theme.

Honestly, the lady asked me for a red cake but in my mind there were only sands and deserts... On the other side I wanted to make a cake in bright colors. Anyway, it's a cake for a 2 years old child. Finally I decided to keep the red color around the cake and on the top I spread a green fondant layer presenting some lawns, grass...

The cars are toys. All other decorations are made out of fondant, butter cream and some brown sugar.
The cake is with vanilla layers and vanilla butter cream with some sour cream and some fruit inside-strawberries, mango, peach and pineapple.

I hope you liked the cake,Boyan and you had great birthday party with a lot of friends and nice presents!

Godzilla cake

Happy birthday, Kristoffer!
I hope you had great birthday party with your favorite character!

This Godzilla cake is for 9th birthday of a boy that I haven't had the chance to meet but I met his amazing parents. Very nice and charming couple!

The cake is made out of vanilla layers with colorful bits inside and my favorite cream of mascarpone and fresh blueberries. The decorations are made out of fondant.

Is it scary enough?
