Dory and Nemo cake

This cake is for Arham's second birthday. The cake is shortcake vanilla one. I followed strictly the original recipe, I used fresh strawberries and abundance of whipping cream.The decorations are made out of fondant except the 3 toys - Dory, Nemo and the Octopus. They will be part of Arham's birthday present.

Arham's mom wanted also a jar with candies. I filled one with shiny blue bubble gums.

Snow White cake

Happy birthday, dear Maya! Enjoy your birthday party and keep always the charming smile on your face!

This year Maya's cake wish is Snow White. Her mom sent me photos of cakes based on that theme. They were amazing and very professionally done. Finally, we decided that it's better idea if I buy a plastic toy of the princess that Maya knows. I didn't want to make just a princess. I wanted to be exactly like Snow White from the fairy tale that Maya knows. Let's keep the fairy tale alive. That was a perfect plan but almost till the end it was just a plan. I couldn't find anywhere the doll. Snow White doesn't exist anymore...All princesses are in the stores except my character. I found 1 or two but they were far, far away from the image of Snow White of our childhood. But I had luck and look at what I found.

You can't imagine how happy I was. This doll was like a very precious treasure and I felt like I had found a piece of gold.

All decorations except Snow White are made out of fondant. The cake is a combination of vanilla and chocolate layers. The filling is light and fluffy vanilla cream with fresh blueberries.

13th wedding anniversary cake

13 years ago me and my husband said "I do". Always and forever! On that day me and my husband legally declared our true love.

This morning I received a beautiful bouquet of red roses from my husband. From my side I made a chocolate cake for us.

I prepared a dessert that we both adore - chocolate layers and filling of mascarpone with wild berries. I planned to keep the cake as simple as possible. Then I decided to check in the net what's the meaning of the 13th wedding anniversary, what kind of presents to make....And I found that the 13th anniversary is LACE.

Immediately I made some hearts of edible lace and then I added to the cake.

Tiramisu for my family

Today I'll share with you,my virtual friends, my Tiramisu. I made it yesterday starving for something sweet. Hopefully I had a large package of biscotti at home. I soaked them with a little bit of coffee because I hoped that my kids would like to try it. Unfortunately, they refused :( But nevermind, it's not the first time. They are kids and they are not attracted by this dessert. I am happy they picked up and ate all the raspberries :)

By the way, the tiramisu looked like that in the beginning...

I used French macaroons, dried raisins covered by milk chocolate, fresh raspberries and a chocolate heart expressing my love to my beautiful family!
